Each year, the International Association for Food Protection honors a single company with its most prestigious award, The Black Pearl, in recognition of that company's efforts in advancing food safety and quality through consumer programs, employee relations, educational activities, adherence to standards, and support of the goals and objectives of IAFP. The recipient of the 2007 Black Pearl Award was Beef Products, Inc.

The Food Quality Award honors the dedication and achievement of a North American Quality Assurance/Quality Control team that has made exceptional contributions to food safety and consumer satisfaction with a positive impact on business results. Eldon Roth, CEO/chairman of BPI, accepted the 4th annual Food Quality award for their strong commitment to food safety and quality in all of their processing plants.
E. Floyd Forbes Award

NMA's E. Floyd Forbes Award is named after the first president of NMAs predecessor organization, Western States Meat Packers Association (WSMPA). His early dedication to the WSMPA created the foundation for NMA to flourish for over fifty years! This prestigious award is presented annually at NMA's Annual Convention for exemplary service to NMA and the meat and poultry industry.

Presented by the National Cattlemen's Foundation , sponsored by Micro Beef Technologies, recognizes individuals, businesses and organizations in the cattle industry who have incorporated innovation into their operation in an effort to enhance not only their business, but also the industry as a whole. Eldon Roth, Beef Products, Inc. was the recipient of the 2008 award as a packer/processor. Eldon developed a sophisticated process which creates over $250 million in added value to U.S. beef annually.
